Boise State: Boise State has hired Jeff Popovich as cornerbacks coach. He spent the past two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.

Texas: Tom Herman has finished shuffling his offensive staff by moving Corby Meekins, previously the tight ends coach, to wide receivers, where he will work with existing wide receivers coach Drew Mehringer in addition to taking on additional special teams duties. To recap, 10th assistant Herb Hand will coach the offensive line while previous offensive line coach Derek Warehime will take over tight ends.

Rice: Mike Bloomgren has formally announced the additions of Bill Best (TEs) and Cedric Calhoun (DL). Best coached the last four seasons at Stephen F. Austin (FCS - TX) as the offensive line coach / run game coordinator while Calhoun spent the last two seasons in a defensive quality control role at Vanderbilt.

North Carolina: Adam Rittenberg tweets that UNC is expected to hire Rutgers corners coach Henry Backer to coach their defensive backs. Before joining Rutgers, Baker coached the corners at Delaware for six seasons.

North Central College (D-III - IL): North Central College is seeking applicants for the position of Defensive Coordinator. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing / coaching on the defensive side of the ball, preferably with Linebackers or Defensive Backs. The position will be responsible for a recruiting area, coaching a position group, and all other duties assigned by the Head Coach. Review of candidates will begin immediately. Western Michigan: Offensive line coach Jake Morleand has been promoted from co-offensive coordinator to offensive coordinator, Eric Evans will transition from running backs coach to quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator, assistant head coach Terry Malone will now work with the running backs, and Dontae Wright has formally joined the staff as co-special teams coordinator and safeties coach.

Baylor: Former Rice defensive line coach Frank Okam will join the staff in the same position, according to Colt Barber of SicEm365.

New York Giants: The Giants have announced Pat Shurmur's first staff: Mike Shula (offensive coordinator), Tyke Tolbert (wide receivers), Hal Hunter (offensive line), Craig Johnson (running backs), Lunda Wells (tight ends), Ben Wilkerson (assistant offensive line), Ryan Roeder (offensive assistant), James Bettcher (defensive coordinator), Gary Emanuel (defensive line), Bill McGovern (linebackers), Lou Anarumo (defensive backs), Deshea Townsend (assistant defensive backs), as well as Rob Leonard (assistant linebackers), Bobby Blick (defensive assistant), Thomas McGaughey (special teams) and Anthony Blevins (assistant special teams).

UCLA: Offensive line coach Hank Fraley has interviewed for a position on Matt Patricia's offensive staff with the Detroit Lions, sources tell FootballScoop. We reported Wednesday that UCLA tight ends coach Angus McClure is also a candidate to take the Nevada offensive line job.

Texas State: Sources tell us Oklahoma defensive specialist Chris Woods will be the defensive coordinator at Texas State, and co-offensive coordinator Zak Kuhr has added an assistant head coach title.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Former Colts defensive coordinator Ted Monachino interviewed for the Bucs' defensive line job on Wednesday, tweets Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Hamburg Huskies (Germany): The Hamburg Huskies play in the German Football League (GFL) and have an immediate opening for an offensive coordinator. Preference will be given to those who have offensive line playing and or coaching experience. Three-plus years of NCAA coaching experienced required. Must have valid passport. Gavilan College (CC - CA): John Lango has been named head coach. He previously worked 10 seasons as the school's head coach.

Western State (D-II - CO): Defensive backs coach Shane Zimmerman has been named the head coach at Lincoln (NE) Northeast High School.

SMU: Sources tell FootballScoop Sonny Dykes has made a number of hires on the Hilltop -- Josh Martin as tight ends coach, Colby Cameron as a quality control assistant, Casey Kroll as a graduate assistant working with the offensive line, Mitchell Kirsch as an offensive line intern, Jeeb Hossain as director of recruiting and engagement, Emma Brown and Malena Brown as directors of on-campus recruiting, and Tyler Bullard as assistant director of video services.

Kansas State: Per source, Tulsa co-defensive coordinator / safeties coach Brian Norwood is leaving to become the co-defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach.

Ole Miss: As we previously reported the other day Ole Miss has now announced the addition of Tyler Siskey to the recruiting office as an assistant athletics director. Siskey previously spent three seasons coaching the wide receivers and as the recruiting coordinator at South Alabama, two years overseeing recruiting operations at Alabama, and worked on the Ole Miss staff in 2012 as coordinator of recruiting development.

Wayne State College (D-II - NE): Wayne State College (NCAA Division II Northern Sun Conference) located in Wayne, Nebraska has an immediate opening for one offensive graduate assistant coach. The Graduate Assistant’s primary coaching responsibilities will be working with the Receivers. Previous experience is required. The position requires a highly motivated person to assist with the implementation of practices, evaluation of prospective student athletes, off and on campus recruiting, scouting opponents, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Applicants must qualify for the State of Nebraska defensive driving certificate. Graduate Assistantships are granted based on acceptance into Graduate School at Wayne State College. Tennessee: Alabama offensive analyst Chris Weinke is expected to join the staff and coach the running backs, per multiple reports including 247 and AL.com.

West Virginia: Toledo running backs coach Marquel Blackwell will join the staff as running backs coach, a source tells FootballScoop. The news was first reported by WVSports.com and Brett McMurphy.

UW-Oshkosh (D-III): UW-Oshkosh is looking for a scrimmage the week of August 20th 2018. Interested teams can contact head coach Pat Cerroni at cerroni@uwosh.edu.

Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals have formally announced the hirings of 11 assistant coaches -- Chris Achuff (assistant defensive line), Ray Brown (offensive line), Alonso Escalante (defensive quality control), Charlie Harbison (assistant defensive backs), Don Johnson (senior assistant/defensive line), Randall McCray (assistant special teams), David Merritt, Sr. (defensive backs), Jason Michael (tight ends), Troy Rothenbuhler (offensive quality control), Cameron Turner (offensive assistant), and Kirby Wilson (running backs). Terry Allen (running backs), Larry Foote (linebackers), Kevin Garver (wide receivers), Steve Heiden (assistant offensive line), Byron Leftwich (quarterbacks), and Buddy Morris (strength) have all been retained.

Ohio State: Ohio State on Wednesday became the first program to pay its assistants more than $7 million. Full staff breakdown here.

Denver Broncos: The Broncos will hire Loren Landow as their strength and conditioning coach once the NFL Combine is complete, according to Mike Klis of 9News in Denver.

West Virginia Wesleyan (D-II): West Virginia Wesleyanis looking to hire a wide receivers or running backs coach. Previous collegiate experience coaching or playing is preferred. The job includes leading your own position group, recruiting, video, coaching special teams, and other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach and/or coordinator. The position will begin immediately. This is a 10-month position with a $10,000.00 stipend, room, and some meals. Washington State: With the hire of Matt Brock (below) we would expect Eric Mele shift to a position on the offensive side of the ball.

Auburn: Former Tigers quarterback Barrett Trotter has joined the staff as an offensive analyst, and GA Craig Sanders has been promoted to a defensive analyst, according to Tom Green of AL.com. Trotter and Sanders join Eric Munoz (offense), Devin Ducote (defense) and Jonathan Rutledge (special teams) in rounding out Gus Malzahn's analyst staff.

Washington State: Source tells FootballScoop Bowling Green special teams coordinator / linebackers Matt Brock has accepted special teams coordinator role at Washington State. Brock came to BGSU with Mike Jinks and previously coached with him at Texas Tech.

San Francisco 49ers: The 49ers are hiring Florida Atlantic defensive coordinator Chris Kiffin as pass rush specialist per multiple reports including from SI, ESPN & local.

Michigan: Source tells FootballScoop Jim McElwain has been offered Michigan's 10th assistant position. McElwain is expected to accept we are told. Receivers is currently the open position however Harbaugh could choose to reassign positions.

Chicago Bears: The Bears are hiring Washington State strength coach Jason Loscalzo source tells FootballScoop.

Navarro CC (JC - TX): Navarro College has an immediate opening for two offensive & one defensive assistant position. Preference will be given to offensive line and defensive backs respectively but all interested applicants are encouraged to apply.The position offers free housing and meals.These positions are also expected to be able to recruit. Applicants with experience playing college football or previous coaching experience are preferred. Fresno City College (JC - CA): Dennis Randle, the former head coach at Washington Union HS (CA) to coach the linebackers and quarterbacks coach Mark Hetherington has been promoted to offensive coordinator. Hetherington replaces Vince Branstetter, who left the staff to become the head coach at Roosevelt HS (CA).
