Mike Ditka is resting comfortably after being treated for what his agent is calling a mild heart attack earlier this week. His agents adds that Ditka is hoping to be discharged soon. Keep Da Coach in your prayers.

Old Dominion: After ODU finished a challenging season at 4-8 following a loss vs Rice, ODU AD Wood Selig said, "As far as we're concerned with Bobby, he's on solid ground. No one knows better than he does what it takes to get ODU football back on track to the winning ways we've enjoyed for the overwhelming majority of his tenure." Wilder is the only head coach ODU has ever known and has done a stellar job with the program. In five seasons competing in FCS they averaged over 9 wins per season. Since moving up to FBS, the Monarchs have won 6, 5, 10, 5 and 4 games.
Rutgers: Athletic director Patrick Hobbs announced that head coach Chris Ash will return next season following the team's close loss to Michigan State. Rutgers finished the season 1-11.
Weekly "Wait, Randy Edsall is getting money for that?" update: Despite losing 57-7 to Temple today and finishing their season 1-10 (no FBS wins), Randy Edsall picked up another $2,000 today in bonuses. Edsall's salary for next season will be increased by $38,000 related to the single game bonuses he "earned" this season relays Steve Berkowitz of USA Today.

Texas Tech: Amid a number of local reports that Texas Tech has decided to make a coaching change, the University says no action has been taken.
Bonuses: With today's overtime victory over North Carolina, Dave Doeren has now earned $75,000 in bonuses this season reports Steve Berkowitz of USA Today. Berkowitz adds that Jeff Brohm has now earned $112,500 this season now that Purdue has beaten IU and become bowl eligible and Southern Miss head coach Jay Hopson has earned $20,000 for becoming bowl eligible by beating UTEP today. PJ Fleck earned $75,000 for getting his Golden Gophers bowl eligible with their win over Wisconsin today.
