South Dakota State (FCS): Jimmy Beal has been announced as the new running backs coach. Beal spent the past nine seasons at Northern Arizona, where he primarily worked with the running backs while also assisting on special teams and serving as the team's pro liaison and camp director.

Dakota College at Bottineau (JC - ND): Dakota College at Bottineau has an opening for an offensive coordinator for the 2019 season. Responsibilities include coaching a position group, formulating game plans, some special teams duties, and some recruiting and conditioning duties. Other duties on campus for extra pay will most likely be available including, but not limited to tutoring, security, academic monitoring, etc. Salary for just the coaching aspect will be in the 6000-6500 range with a starting date of July 16, 2019 for either the season or the entire school year. Coffeyville CC (JC - KS): Coffeyville Community College has an immediate opening for an entry-level restricted earnings position coaching the Defensive Backs. The position includes housing, meals, and health insurance with the ability to earn more money through the dorms. College playing or coaching experience preferred. Hudl experience preferred. Special Teams experience preferred. Previous experience coaching Defensive Backs required. Fort Scott CC (JC - KS): Former Fort Scott co-offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Christopher Rutledge is joining the staff at Palm Beach Central HS (FL) as run game coordinator / offensive line coach, per source. Rutledge previously worked as an offensive graduate assistant at FAU working with the offensive line.

LSU: After a 10-win season and a Fiesta Bowl victory, LSU is set to hand Ed Orgeron a raise and an extension. O also got himself a lot of backside protection should LSU decide to make a change. Details here.

Overtime rules: After November's 7 OT marathon between Texas A&M and LSU, the SEC is discussing a tweak that would end marathon OT games.

Maine Maritime (D-III - ME): Maine Maritime currently has four temporary assistant coach positions available. The successful candidates will be college graduates and possess previous college playing and/or coaching experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in practice and game planning, video breakdown and analysis with DVSport and Hudl, recruiting, academic oversight, and coaching their own position group. There are openings on both offense and defense. Compensation includes an hourly wage and housing. Butler CC (JC - KS): Butler Community College has an immediate opening for an entry level restricted earnings position Coaching the Running Backs. The salary is 10k and includes housing and meals. College playing or coaching experience required. Hudl experience preferred. Previous experience Coaching Running Backs and recruiting ties to the Southeast is preferred. Scoop 'Em Up: A.J. Blum spent the last 2 seasons as the defensive line coach at the University of Houston, where he developed and coached Outland Trophy winner Ed Oliver. Prior to being at Houston he was a high school coach in the greater Houston area (Spring Westfield/Klein Forest/Livingston) for 14 years where he held titles as assistant head coach, co-defensive coordinator, defensive line coach. Blum was part of 11 playoff qualifying teams and assisted in developing 31 defensive lineman who went on to play at the collegiate level including 4 HS All Americans. Blum is a Ashland University (D-II - OH) graduate. Recruiting areas have included Texas, Louisiana and various junior colleges. Valdosta State (D-II - GA): Source tells FootballScoop that Mike Johnson, who spent the past three seasons coaching the defensive backs at Huntingdon College (D-III - AL), has joined thee staff as defensive backs coach.

Morrisville State (D-III - NY): Morrisville State, located in central New York (30 miles southeast of Syracuse), is seeking applicants for two entry-level assistant football coaches (2 position available – RBs & WRs). Preferred candidates will have playing and/or coaching experience at the position desired. Resume building opportunities include (but are not limited to): Coaching your own position, recruiting your own area, academic monitoring of student-athletes, practice and game film breakdown (HUDL), plus other duties assigned by the Head Football Coach. Compensation package includes a $5,000 stipend (9 months), off-campus housing, and partial meal funding. In addition, because of employment within the SUNY system, this position is entitled to receive a tuition waiver for one online graduate class per term at any SUNY institution (max 12 credits per year). Wagner (FCS - NY): Per source, Lee Hull is the team's new offensive coorrdinator and wide receivers coach andArmani Garrick has joined the staff as an offensive graduate assistant.

Keiser (NAIA - FL): Per source, Jalani Lord has moved from wide receivers to offensive line coach, Chris Ortiz-Torres has moved from defensive line to wide receivers, and special teams coordinator Damaso Munoz is no longer with the staff.

Butler CC (JC - KS): Chris Jones who spent the 2006-16 as the wide receivers coach at Butler Community College has returned to the Grizzlies as new wide receivers coach. Prior to returning to Butler, Jones spent time at Big Spring HS (TX).
