Utah: South Florida AD Mark Harlan will accept the same post at Utah, tweets Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times. Harlan is set to replace the outgoing Chris Hill, who had served as Utah's AD since 1987. Update:The school has announced the hire.

SEC Rule Change: The SEC has approved a proposal to their graduate transfer rule that will allow players to go from one SEC school to another and play right away.

San Diego (Alliance of American Football): Mike Martz, the former St. Louis Rams coach during "the Greatest Show on Turf" run from 2000-2005, has been officially named the new head coach of the San Diego team. Tampa Bay Bucs: Byron Kiefer, who is in his 14th season with the organization, is being promoted from national scout to senior national scout, Antwon Murray is being promoted from natinoal football scouting scout to college scout, and Brian McLaughlin is being promoted from scouting assistant to NFS scout, Greg Auman points out.

Northwestern: Sources tell FootballScoop that the two roles that recently opened (director of scouting and defensive quality control analyst) following staffers joining NFL organizations have already been filled.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Northwest defensive quality control analyst Sean Conley is joining the Bucs as a scouting assistant, per source.

LA Chargers: Mike Jasinski has joined the staff as a scout after previously serving as the director of scouting at Northwestern, per source.

New York Jets: Drew Morris, who joined the team as an intern in pro personnel, is being promoted to college scout, per Neil Stratton.

Eastern Illinois (FCS): EIU has completed their staff with the addition of Syracuse defensive graduate assistant Adam Gristick as the new linebackers coach. Gristick played linebacker for the program from 2010-14.

Saint Vincent (D-III - PA): Saint Vincent College seeks a part-time Director of high school football relations and recruiting /Assistant Football Coach. The candidate will be responsible for recruiting and coordinating a recruiting plan. Develop strong high school recruiting relationships throughout the year. (In particular Western Pennsylvania). The candidate must be familiar with all aspects of social media and front rush. The candidate must be able and open to travel. The candidate will have limited coaching responsibilities assigned by the head coach. This individual must be highly motivated and have great communication skills. Stipend for the position is $8000 dollars and includes housing. Only serious applicants should apply. Minorities are strongly encourage to apply. Southwest Baptist (D-II - Bolivar, MO): Southwest Baptist University is currently seeking an offensive skill graduate assistant. Candidates with RB or WR coaching experience will be given preference. Jacksonville State (FCS - AL): The Jacksonville State University Football Team is looking for unpaid interns to fulfill a number of roles within the football office. The person in these positions will primarily be responsible for assisting a member of the staff with all aspects of their duties. You will also assist with recruiting duties which include: player identification, data entry, campus recruiting activities, and other duties assigned. Knowledge of video editing, strong communication skills, and computer skills are preferred. This championship winning program won their conference championship the last 4 seasons, while capturing 43 wins. Applicants will be required to successfully complete an interview and background check.
