Sean McVay becomes youngest head coach in NFL history (Featured)

Sean McVay has agreed to become the Los Angeles Rams' new head coach, the club announced Thursday.

McVay, 30, will surpass Lane Kiffin (31) as the youngest head coach in NFL history. He is the grandson of legendary San Francisco 49ers general manager John McVay.

McVay jumped into coaching as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' assistant wide receivers coach in 2008, then moved to the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League in 2009. He rejoined the NFL in 2010 as the Washington Redskins' assistant tight ends coach in 2010, moved to tight ends coach from 2011-13, then to offensive coordinator in 2014-16.

McVay was critical in Kirk Cousins' development in Washington, and that expertise will be crucial as 2016 No. 1 pick Jared Goff will be his top priority in Los Angeles.
