Update:The Colts have formally announced Frank Reich as their next head coach.
“We are excited to have Frank Reich as our new head coach,” GM Chris Ballard said in a statement. “Frank is a leader of men who will demand excellence from our players on and off the field. I look forward to working with Frank to deliver a championship-caliber team to the city of Indianapolis.”
The press conference will be held Tuesday. The head coach is expected to show up this time.
After they were ghosted by one of the offensive coordinators from last Sunday's Super Bowl, it appears the Indianapolis Colts have turned to... the other offensive coordinator from the Super Bowl.
The Colts are targeting Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich to be their next head coach, ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen reported Sunday.

During last week's 41-33 Eagles win, NBC broadcasters Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth raved about Reich, saying it was only a matter of time until he would become an NFL head coach. Little did they -- or anyone -- know at the time that it would be a week later he could replace his counterpart, Josh McDaniels, from that very game.
Reich famously led the largest comeback in college football history at Maryland and then did the the same in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills in 1993. He jumped into coaching as an offensive assistant with the Colts in 2008, the moved to quarterbacks and wide receivers, respectively, from 2009-11. He spent a year with the Cardinals before joining the San Diego Chargers' staff as quarterbacks coach in 2013; he was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2014-15, then joined Doug Pederson's staff in 2016.
