PJ Fleck's pens a heartfelt goodbye to Western Michigan: "I'll always be your fan and friend" (Featured)

PJ Fleck has poured a lot into the Western Michigan football program, campus, and community. Its a place that took a chance on him as one of the youngest head coaches in college football, it's a community he embraced with open arms, and all of that, combined with a number of other things, make it hard for him to leave.

But eventually he came to the decision that Minnesota was the right opportunity for him and his family, so that meant finding a way to say goodbye to Kalamazoo and Western Michigan.

Today, as Western Michigan announced his departure at a press conference, PJ Fleck released a statement. Brendan Buffa of the Western Herald was among the local media to release it for all to see.

That last line, "I'll always be your fan and friend," is Fleck's sincere sign off to a community that has given him some of the best memories of his life.
