The search for Bill Snyder's successor continues to charge forward, and sources told FootballScoop that North Dakota State head coach Chris Klieman and Troy head coach Neal Brown are still receiving strong consideration. It is being reported Memphis head coach Mike Norvell remains involved as well.
Change, they say, is not easy. Kansas State football can confirm the preceding sentence. Before offering the job, one dialogue item that Kansas State brass was continuing to seek clarity on as late as last night with the remaining targets is which of Snyder's assistants the new head coach will be willing to retain.
It was the same sticking point that reportedly caused talks with North Texas head coach Seth Littrell to break down; Littrell ultimately opted to remain in Denton.
This search could conclude as early as today.
As always, stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest.
Update: Norvell seemingly withdrew any reported interest from K-State in a serious of tweets on Monday afternoon, embedded below.
