Michigan has led the nation in football attendance for 39 of the past 40 seasons, 44 times since 1949, and 16 straight seasons. One of the most enduring traditions in college football, many that spend their autumn Saturdays inside Michigan Stadium live in a world where Michigan has never not been college football's attendance leader.
But there's a school of thought that Michigan could cede the title in 2014 - to Ohio State.
The Wolverines led the nation last season with 111,592 fans per game in 2013, followed by Ohio State at 104,933.
