Owasso (OK): Former Tulsa head coach Bill Blankenship has agreed to become the new head coach at Owasso, according to Bill Haisten of the Tulsa World. Blankenship was the head coach at Fayetteville High School this past season, leading the school to the Class 7A state championship in Arkansas. He previously led powerhouse Tulsa Union to three state titles before taking over at TU.
Freedom (Morgantown, NC): Jim Bob Bryant has been hired to lead the program. Bryant previously served as the head coach at Havelock HS (NC).
Havelock (NC): The head coaching job is open.
Elsie Allen (Santa Rosa, CA): Elsie Allen HS is looking for a defensive coordinator, JV head coach, and varsity/JV assistants. Santa Rosa is located in the heart of wine country, and is a 30 minute drive from the ocean, several lakes, and the Russian river. San Francisco is a 1-hour drive, and Tahoe 2-hours. For the DC position, we are looking for someone with plenty of experience, who wants to completely run the defense and help turn around a program with plenty of potential, but very little past success. Elsie Allen has a student body of about 1,100, making it the second largest school in our league. Lutheran North (St. Louis, MO): Lutheran North HS with 250 students has a week 1 opening for 2017. Dates are August 18 or 19. We can host or travel. Will consider any classics or out of state opponents. Please contact head coach Carl Reed via email at creed@lhsnstl.org.
Franklin (NH): Per source, the head coaching job has been posted. Jeff Kaplan was the previous head coach.
Denver North (CO): Denver North HS has promoted assistant head coach Nick Trombetta as their new head coach. He takes over for Mike Marquez, who stepped down after the 2016 season.
Jefferson (GA): Head coach Ben Hall has resigned after eight seasons with the program, the past four as head coach. Hall went 44-8 leading the team.
Clay (OH): John Galyas, who spent the past ten seasons as an assistant, has accepted the head coaching job.
Washington (NC): Jon Blank has been named head coach, replacing Sport Sawyer, who resigned at the end of the season to pursue other opportunities. Blank has spent the past 11 years as the defensive coordinator.
Bishop Manogue Catholic (NV): Thomas Peregrin has announced that he is stepping down from the head coaching post.
Hudson (OH): Jeff Gough, who spent the season as an interim head coach, will be named head coach, per source.
Los Lumas (NM): Head coach Terrell Trantham has decided to step down.
Summit (OR): Joe Padilla has resigned from the head coaching post after ten years with the program, the last five as head coach.
Oscar Smith (VA): After leading the team to the state title game, Bill Dee has announced his resignation from the head coaching position, citing health reasons.
Central (Louisville, KY): Head coach Ty Scroggins has resigned from his role as head coach, after putting together a 101-43 record with the program, reaching the state title game even times, and winning five state titles.
Signal Mountain (TN): Josh Roberts is the new head coach. Roberts replaces Ty Wise, who resigned following the season.
Ozen (TX): Beaumont HS is hosting the Lone Star Classic in a beautiful 12,000 seat stadium August 25th, 2017. We need an opponent for Ozen High. They have an enrollment of 1,400. Southwest DeKalb (GA): Fletcher Slater has retired from the head coaching post.
Martin Luther King (Lithonia, GA): Head coach Nicolas Kashama will not return.
Kohler / Sheboygan Lutheran (WI): Matt Zavada has resigned from the head coaching post, per source.
Alonso (FL): Alonso HS is a Class 8 School in Tampa, Florida. Currently seeking an Assistant Football Coach who is certified in PE. We are looking for the best Coaching Candidate who is also outstanding in the classroom. But priorities are LBs, Corners, or WRs. You must currently have a Florida Teaching Certificate. Brook Hill (Bullard, TX): The Brook Hill School is looking to for an Out of State opponent for our annual Warrior Bowl game for 2017 season. This will take place on September 2nd. Brook Hill has an enrollment of 270 student and is located 12 miles south of Tyler in East Texas. Previously we have hosted teams from Florida and California. The visiting team will enjoy an experience including a service project, war museum tour, banquet and game. We are looking for school with similar enrollment. San Antonio Holmes (TX): The head coaching job is open.
San Antonio Harland (TX): Head coach Eddie Salas has left San Anotonio Holmes HS (TX) to become the head coach at San Antonio Harland (TX).
Robbinsville (NJ): Robbinsville HS is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced assistant football coach. Experience with an RPO-based spread offense and/or a 4-4 or 4-2-5 defense is a definite plus. The right candidate will have several years of high school level coaching experience or collegiate playing experience. Depending on the experience level, the applicant will either coach his own varsity position on offense and defense or may have the opportunity to be a head coach at the sub-varsity level.
