Fayetteville (AR): Billy Dawson, the head coach at Russellville HS (AR), will be the new leader of the program pending board approval tonight.

International Community School (FL): Following head coach Stuart Weiss stepping down, Mike Lodes has been named head coach.

Mingo Central (WV): Offensive coordinator Joey Fields will step in as head coach and replace Danny "Yogi" Kinder. The team won the AA state title last season.

Freedom (NC): Freedom HS is looking for qualified football coaches. Teacher positions available right now EC and Allied Health. Possible history and PE coming open in the fall. Interested coaches please email head football coach Jim Bob Bryant at JBFTBALL@gmail.com.

Villa-Angela St. Joseph (Cleveland, OH): Twinsburg HS (OH) offensive coordinator Bill Sowers has been named head coach. He replaces John Storey, who retired at the end of last season.

Elyria (OH): Wellington HS (OH) head coach Sean Arno has been hired to replace Kevin Fell.

Des Moines North (IA): Des Moines North is looking for hard-working coaches that are great teachers and want to be part of football family. All positions are available (including coordinator positions). Interested candidates can send their information to dmnorthfootball@gmail.com.

Island Coast (FL): Island Coast HS in Cape Coral, FL is seeking assistant coaches for all positions on offense and defense. Current teaching positions available are in English/Language Arts and Math with anticipated openings in Social Science. Corollary duties include summer/winter strength and conditioning and ongoing player development. There are multiple sport opportunities for coaches with a passion for other sports as well. Interested candidates need to have a Florida Teaching license or be able to obtain a license. Palmdale (CA): Jeff Williams, the head coach at Palmdale HS, has decided to retire, per source. We understand he will remain on campus as athletic director.

New Research: Man Free Coverage Concepts to Defend RPO’s -Husson University (ME) finished first nationally at the Division 3 level this season in the following categories: total defense (181 ypg), rushing defense (47 ypg), yards per rush (1.59), third down percentage (.199) and first downs allowed (86). Not surprisingly, many of these numbers came at the hands of RPO based offenses in which defensive coordinator Grant Caserta opted to defend using man free coverage principles. Moorpark (CA): Tim Lins is stepping down after leading the program for 18 years.

St, Mary's Berkeley (CA): Saint Mary's, a Division IV - TCAL school, is seeking coaches to join a rich and successful football program, rooted in strong traditions of leadership, faith, academic excellence and service. Washington County (AL):Washington County HS in Chatom, Alabama is looking for a home game on Friday, October 20th, 2017 at 7:00 pm. We will split the gate proceeds with the visiting team, and this would be a one year contract. We are a 2A high school located approximately 1 hour northwest of Mobile, roughly 2 1/2 hours southwest of Montgomery, and 10 miles from the Alabama/Mississippi state line.
