Over the weekend, Clemson held their youth camp. After the on-field part of the day, Clemson's coaches spent time with the young players and their families.
At one point, a young boy walked up to defensive coordinator Brent Venables & asked Coach if he could draw "the perfect defense" for him. Neither the boy or Coach had any paper, so coach Venables improvised....
When Venables finished drawing up the D, he pulled the young man aside and explained it to him.
That, my friends, is how you make a connection. That is coaching.
