AFCA announces coaches chosen to participate their 35 under 35 Leadership institute (AFCA)

Today, the AFCA released their list of 35 coaches under 35, and it includes a number of quality coaches from all levels ranging from the major college level, to a few high school coaches.

According to the release:

In order to be eligible, applicants must have been born on or after January 1, 1983, and must be currently serving as a high school head coach, a two-year college full-time assistant or head coach, or an NAIA/NCAA full-time assistant or head coach. Applicants were required to submit a resume, five references, and a 1,600-word article on an Offensive, Defensive, Special Teams, or position-specific topic of the applicant’s choosing.

The coaches chosen, and noted below, will attend a one-day institute, featuring lessons "specifically tailored to emphasize leadership in the coaching profession," as well as topics like career progression, ethics, and balancing work and family. The chosen coaches will also get a stipend to assist with 2018 AFCA Convention expenses, as well as a number of other benefits.
