LSU: LSU is bringing an FCS coordinator aboard its staff, sources tell FootballScoop.

Kent State: ESPN reports former Minnesota star running back Mohamed Ibrahim is expected to join the staff of Kenni Burns to coach the running backs. Burns is the former Gophers running backs coach responsible for recruiting Ibrahim, who helped out with the running backs at Minnesota this past fall and ranks among the Big Ten's all-time leading rushers. 

Chicago Bears: The team has requested premission to interview Rams assistant head coach / pass game coordinator Aubrey Pleasant for the defensive coordinator job on Ben Johnson's staff.

Washington State: The program has announced the additions of Ricky Ciccone (GM), Andy Lucas (director of scouting), Marcus Banks (assistant strength and conditioning), Payton Shafer (defensive graduate assistant), and Kyle Saddler (offensive graduate assistant), 

Alabama A&M (FCS): Miles College (D-II - MS) offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Dennis Alexander has been named the program's new offensive coordinator.

FIU: Bryan Crawford, a former Florida A&M offensive lineman, has accepted an offensive analyst position on the staff of Willie Simmons.

Midwestern State (D-II - TX): Marcus Alexander has joined the staff as an offensive graduate assistant where he will work with the offensive line.

Minnesota: Veteran college defensive coordinator Kevin Kane, who has cllaed defenses at Northern Illinois, SMU and Purdue is joining the Gophers staff in an on-field coaching role, per ESPN.

Harvard (FCS - MA): Holy Cross (FCS - MA) running backs coach Kevin Falaki has joined the staff in the same capacity. He takes the place of Laz Mitjans Jr., who left to become the head coach at Worcester State (D-III - MA).

New England Patriots: Alex Van Pelt, a main driver of the development of Drake Maye, is not expected to return to the staff in any capacity under Mike Vrabel, per multiple reports.

New York Jets: With Aaron Glenn in place as the new head coach, the Jets are bringing in Broncos assistant GM Darren Mougey and Bengals senior personnel executive Trey Brown in for second interviews for their GM job while Lance Newmark, who had his second interview Tuesday, is also considered a candidate, per Tom Pelissero.

Cincinnati Bengals: A few days back we shared that the Bengals were zeroing in on Notre Dame's Al Golden as their new defensive coordinator, and now word is breaking that he's accepted the offer and is heading back to the NFL. He previously coached the team's linebackers in 2020-21.

Each year RII Sports Technology analyzes play-by-play data for all Division I FBS football programs and assesses the degree to which offensive and defensive play callers make decisions that best align their team’s strengths with their opponent’s weaknesses.

North Dakota (FCS): Malik Bradshaw has joined the staff as receivers coach after spending the last several seasons at Augustana (D-II - SD) as running backs coach, and Lenoir-Rhyne (D-II - NC) running backs coach DJ Davis is the new running backs coach.

Rocky Mountain (NAIA - MT): Rocky Mountain College has undergraduate positions available in student coaching / equipment / football operations. Palisades: After the California wildfires left the Palisades community in complete shambles, the program's head coach and players vow to be back this fall, declaring they "aren't going anywhere."

New England Patriots: Josh McDaniels has officially been brought back for a third stint as the team's offensive coordinator, joining Mike Vrabel's staff.

Jacksonville Jaguars: After initially standing by GM Trent Baalke at the end of the season, team owner Shad Khan has now decided it's best that the organization and Baalke part ways. 

West Virginia: Patrick McCain (assistant DFO) and Isaac Miller (assistant to the head coach) are the latest two additions to Rich Rod's staff.

New York Jets: The Jets have landed one of the best players in franchise history in Aaron Glenn as their new head coach. Among the strong candidates to join his staff are former Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks, Mike Garafolo points out while Albert Breer points out that Rams passing game coordinator Nick Caley, Texans quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson and Vikings quarterbacks coach Josh McCown are among the names expected to be in the mix for the offensive coordinator job on staff.

Texas A&M: The Aggies are set to nab James Madison defensive coordinator Lyle Hemphill.

Las Vegas Raiders: Bucs assistant GM John Spytek, who played with Raiders minority owner Tom Brady at Michigan in 1999 before they eventually worked together in Tampa Bay, is finalizing a deal to become the team's new GM, per multiple outlets.

Dallas Cowboys: The team is planning a second interview with in-house offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer for their head coaching job otday, per Ian Rapoport.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Rick Stroud shares that Liam Coen's new deal keeping him with the Bucs is believed to be similar to Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, who earns about $4.5 million annually as one of the highest paid coordinator in the league.

Tulane: Hunter Sims, a defensive recruiting specialist with the Green Wave, has left the staff. Sources tell FootballScoop Sims is headed to Old Dominion as ODU's new general manager.

Championship Coaches: From 2000-15, only one coach won his first national championship after his fourth year on the job. Now, the last three coaches to win titles didn't break through until Year 6 or after. How and why?

Northwestern: ESPN shares that David Braun is targeting Cal running backs coach Aristotle Thompson for the same position in Evanston.

Temple: KC Keeler has announced his special teams staff will consist of Brian Ginn (STC), Rick Brown (specialists), and John Fisher (special teams analyst). Ginn and Brown previously worked with Keeler at Delaware, while Fisher has previous stops at Temple, Pitt, Tiffin (D-II - OH) and Minnesota.

Jacksonville Jaguars: With Liam Coen backing out before his second interview, the Jags were also set for second interviews with Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and former Jets head coach Robert Saleh this week.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Offensive coordinator Liam Coen is taking him out of the running for the head coaching job with the Jaguars and is staying in Tampa with a new contract that will make him among the highest paid coordinators in the NFL. Adam Schefter was first to report.

Tennessee Titans: Jeremy Fowler shares that tight ends coach Justin Outten did not sign with the team past the 2024 season and the former Broncos offensive coordinator is now a coaching free agent. He previously served as run game coordinator / running backs coach under Mike Vrabel in 2023 with the Titans.

UCLA: Veteran running backs coach AJ Steward is expected to join the staff as their new running backs coach, per CBS Sports. Steward previously coached at Baylor and Oregon State and spent last season on staff at Kansas.

New York Giants: Marquand Manuel is joining the staff as defensive backs coach, per Jeremy Fowler. Manuel is the former Falcons defensive coordinator who spent the last four seasons as the safeties coach with the Jets.

Auburn: Sources confirm that Georgia Southern head coach Chad Lunsford, who spent the past three seasons at FAU, is expected to be the new special teams coordinator at Auburn.

Ole Miss: Matt McLaughlin is shifting from his senior administrative role to senior associate AD for strategy and cap management.

Southern Illinois (FCS): Per source, Robert Morris (FCS - PA) defensive line coach Darius Davis has accepted the same position at SIU.

New England Patriots: Lions defensive line coach Terrell Williams, who worked with Mike Vrabel in Tennessee, is leaving Detroit to become the Patriots defensive coordinator, per Adam Schefter.

Mississippi Valley State (FCS): The Delta Devils have tabbed a former Dan Mullen and Lane Kiffin assistant as their new head coach.

Drake (FCS - IA): Head coach Joe Woodley has completed his staff - all of which we've shared previously - and they include Kyle Kempt (OC), Adam Cox (DC), Joe Evans (DL), Josh Manchigiah (STC / DBs), AJ Vasquez (OLBs), Quincy Griffith (OL), Drew Adams (WRs) and Seth Hestness (TEs).

Manchester (D-III - IN): Manchester University has an opening for an Entry Level Full time assistant coach. Interested candidates should have previous playing or coaching experience at the college level. Position is flexible and will be for the right fit. Southern Connecticut State (D-II): After 24 seasons with the program total, and 11 as head coach, the school has announced a parting of ways with Tom Godek. Defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Rob Eggerling will step in as interim head coach until a new head coach is found.

South Dakota State (FCS): Dan Jackson has announced the additions of Zane Busekist (LBs) and Logan McCormick (DL). Busekist spent the past two seasons at Boise State as assistant defensive line coach and McCormick was the assistant defensive line coach at Northwestern the past two years.

Pace (D-II - NY): Chad Walker, who previously coached at Pace as the offensive coordinator from 2014-16 and most recently served as the head coach at Christ School (NC), has been named head coach.\

Bucknell (FCS - PA): Sources tell FootballScoop former Elon (FCS) and Lehigh (FCS - PA) offensive coordinator Drew Folmer will be the new offensive play caller at Bucknell. 

Midwest Champions: We've been brainwashed by the likes of ESPN to think championship football is played in the south. That narrative should change, starting today, as the midwest is the new home of all championship football programs FBS to NAIA.

Bethen (NAIA - TN): Defensive coordinator Chris Springer, who has stepped in as interim head coach since the departure of Mike Jasper, has been elevated to head coach. Springer has spent the last several seasons on staff, and was an integral piece of an 11-0 regular season in 2022.

Colorado: Reggie Calhoun Jr. has accepted a role on staff working as director of football NIL / revenue sharing with the Buffs.

New Mexico: Colin Lockett has been formally announced as the Lobos new receivers coach, Jared Elliott as tight ends, and Spence Nowinsky as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.

Tulsa: Dominique Davenport, who has been part of Tre Lamb's staff at East Tennessee State (FCS) and Gardner Webb (FCS - NC), has joined the Tulsa staff as special teams senior analyst. He coordinated the special teams and coached the running backs at ETSU last fall.

Chabot (JC - CA): Chabot College, a community college in Hayward, CA has a full-time Director of Football Operations, this position will serve as the HEAD FOOTBALL COACH. This is an administrative position and not faculty. This position requires a master's degree in any discipline from accredited university or college. The pay range is $118,080 - $143,551 annually.
