Emporia State (D-II - KS):  Bryce Chavis, the former offensive coordinator at McPherson (NAIA - KS), has been named receivers coach.

New Mexico State: The program has announced the appointment of Matt Gaynor as the director of recruiting.

Baltimore Ravens: Baylor defensive line coach Dennis Johnson will be the new defensive line coach, per Jonathan Jones.

Miami: Miami has announced Marshall co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach Chevis Jackson as corners coach.

Kansas State: K-State has announced Clint Brown's promotion from offensive quality control to director of roster management and football operations assistant Taylor Wegner's promotion to football operations coordinator.

Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals have parted ways with VP of player personnel Quentin Harris, per The Athletic. 

New England Patriots: Defensive coordinator DeMarcus Covington will call plays for the Pats this fall. It'll be the first time since 1999 a Belichick hasn't overseen the defense in New England.

Princeton (FCS - NJ): Per source, Princeton has found their new running backs coach.

Ouachita Baptist (D-II - AR): Ouachita Baptist is looking to hire a Defensive GA to work with the defensive line or linebackers. This position will include housing and meals as well as graduate school tuition. Please contact Defensive Coordinator Roy Thompson at Thompsonr@obu.edu.

Chicago Bears: The team has announced the additions of. Chad Morton (RBs), Chris Beatty (WRs), Thomas Brown (offensive pass game coordinator), Jason Houghtaling (assistant OL), Robbie Picazo (assistant QBs and WRs) and Jennifer King (assistant RBs).

Western Illinois (FCS): Western Illinois has openings for Special Teams QC, Defensive QC, Offensive QC positions. These are strictly VOLUNTEER positions; there is NO compensation, housing OR benefits with occasional meals. There are multiple previous Quality Control coaches on full time NCAA staffs. Ideal candidates must be highly organized, proficient in DVsport, Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint and other computer skills. Previous experience coaching or playing is preferred. Jamestown (NAIA - ND): The University of Jamestown is seeking applicants for a defensive graduate assistant coaching position. The best candidate regardless of position will be hired. Responsibilities include coaching a position, managing a recruiting territory, coordinating on-campus visits, Hudl video, scouting reports/breakdowns and other duties assigned by the head coach. Positions includes 100% tuition waiver for the Master of Arts in Leadership Program (which is an exclusively online program), housing in on campus dorm room and a full meal plan. West Virginia Wesleyan (D-II): West Virginia Wesleyan College, located in Buckhannon, WV is seeking a Part-time Assistant Running-backs/Tight-Ends Coach, Applicants will be required to coach their own position group, manage their own recruiting area, assist in opponent film breakdown/reports (HUDL), and perform all other duties assigned by the Head Coach & Offensive Coordinator. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. good communication, organization, time management skills and the ability to use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Hudl. Seattle Seahawks: Former Bears assistant defensive line coach Justin Hinds has been added as the new defensive line coach in Seattle.

Texas: Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns are working to hire an FBS assistant and former well respected Dallas area prep head coach for a special assistant role with the program, sources tell FootballScoop.

Tiffin (D-II - OH): Tiffin University is accepting applications for two full-time coaching positions and a graduate assistant position. The open full-time positions are Running Backs Coach and Defensive Line Coach. The graduate assistant position is a Defensive Skills (Secondary or Linebacker) position. Saginaw Valley State (D-II - MI): Saginaw Valley State is looking to fill an Assistant OL Coach opening. This is a volunteer role with the possibility of a stipend. This position will have a direct role in recruiting and developing Offensive Lineman in one of the best D2 conferences in the country. This is a great opportunity for young coaches to get your foot in the door and advance in the coaching profession. Western Michigan: Linebackers coach Scott Powers is set to be the next defensive coordinator for the Broncos, per Pete Thamel. Powers spent the past two seasons at Louisiana Tech as defensive coordinator and has over a decade of coordinator experience. Also, Thamel adds that special teams coach Jeff Popovich is being elevates to co-defensive coordinator / safeties coach.

Transfer Portal: Citing coaching movement, NCAA president Charlie Baker says he no longer supports additional restrictions on player transfers.

New Orleans Saints: Jordan Traylor, the son of UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor, who has spent the past five seasons with the team in a variety of roles, is being promoted to assistant quarterbacks coach.

Brown (FCS - RI): Brown University is accepting applications for two full-time coaching positions. The open positions are Offensive Line Coach and Defensive Line Coach. Slippery Rocky (D-II - PA): Joe Marella, who spent last season as wide receivers coach / special teams coordinator, is moving to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks while defensive backs coach Cedric Whitaker is taking on special teams coordinator duties. Also, Thiel (D-III - PA) receivers coach Chris Parry has joined the staff as receivers coach. He previously spent time at both Pitt and Youngstown state in support staff roles after a three-year playing career at West Virginia.

Texas Wesleyan (NAIA - TX): Texas Wesleyan University is seeking candidates for Tight Ends Graduate Assistant. Responsibility will include, but not limited to: coaching a position, recruiting, and assisting with all aspects of football operations (film, equipment, travel, etc.) You must be able to get admitted into Texas Wesleyan University graduate school and have a 3.0 GPA or higher in undergrad at your previous university to be eligible for this position. Compensation will include housing, full graduate school tuition, and camp benefits. Texas Wesleyan is located in Fort Worth, TX and competes as a member of the Sooner Athletic Conference. Seattle Seahawks: Mike Macdonald is expected to add former Chargers linebackers coach Jeff Howard to coach the defensive backs, per multiple reports. Before his time in LA, Howard was defensive backs coach and pass game coordinator for the Browns.

Hardin Simmons (D-III - TX): Hardin Simmons is looking for a 2024 week 3 - September 21st or week 4 – September 28th home game. Financial guarantee available. Kentucky: Defensive backs coach Chris Collins, who had been in the mix for other Power 5 opportunities, has been awarded a new contract at Kentucky, per Jon Hale.

Winona State (D-II - MN): Winona State University has an immediate opening for a Running Backs Assistant Coach. This is a restricted earning position at $10,000 a year; partial grad school remission is available. No benefits, meals or housing provided. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. Arkansas Monticello (D-II - AR): The University of Arkansas Monticello has an opening for a Defensive Line coach. This is a full-time position with benefits. Applicants are required to have a Bachelor’s degree, and coaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred. The successful candidate must also have recruiting experience, knowledge of NCAA rules, commitment to the academic success of student-athletes, and the ability to organize and motivate student-athletes to their maximum performance levels. CSU Pueblo (D-II): Sources tell FootballScoop CSU Pueblo is expected to hire Brian Natkin as co-offensive coordinator / offensive line coach. Natkin has previously coached offensive line at Sam Houston, UTEP and for the Arizona Cardinals.

Kent State: Sources tell FootballScoop that the Golden Flashes are filling their special teams coordinator spot with a hire from the Big Ten.

Kansas: Daryl Agpalsa is expected to leave NIU and join Kansas' staff as offensive line coach Pete Thamel has shared. Agpalsa previously coached offensive line for Lance Leipold at both UW-Whitewater and Buffalo. He joined the Northern Illinois staff in 2019. 

Stephen F. Austin (FCS - TX): Garrett Graf is set to join the SFA staff as offensive line coach sources tell FootballScoop.

TCU: Sources tell FootballScoop TCU is adding Casey Petree to work with special teams.

Seattle Seahawks: Mike Macdonald is hiring Jets offensive assistant Mack Brown, who spent the past five seasons in New York, as their tight ends coach, Adam Schefter shares.

Colorado: Coach Prime's staff will reportedly earn a record-breaking amount in 2024.
