Appalachian State: App State has paused football practices indefinitely after discovering a cluster of seven cases among players and four coaches.

ESPN: ESPN has promoted Jordan Rodgers to the SEC Network primetime game, and announced Rodgers, Tim Tebow, Roman Harper and Laura Rutledge will host the Saturday morning pre-game show SEC Nation.

Notre Dame: Father John Jenkins said the school is moving to online instruction for the next two weeks after an outbreak on campus. "If these steps are not successful, we will have to send students back home like we did last spring," he said.

Army: Army started building its 2020 schedule way back in 2009, and within a month the Black Knights saw nine opponents cancel on them. How they rebuilt nearly their entire schedule on the fly.

NCAA: Is the recent bluster out of NCAA HQ an attempt to guilt the Remaining Power 3 into canceling the season?

Tom Flores: The legendary former NFL coach is a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2021. Flores went 83-53 with the Raiders from 1979-87 and 14-34 with the Seahawks from 1992-94.

NFL Network: Scott Pioli and Marc Ross have joined NFL Network as front office analysts. Pioli is a 3-time Super Bowl Champion and 5-time executive of the year, and Ross is a 2-time Super Bowl Champ as an executive with the Giants with previous scouting experience with the Eagles and Bills.

Spring Football: There's a huge looming question about spring football we need to confront. Is it essentially a "JV season" as Nick Saban suggests?

Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins have hired two female personnel scouts in Joyce Harrell and Olivia Passy.

Army: Army has added home games with Louisiana-Monroe (Sept. 12), BYU (Sept. 19), Abilene Christian (Oct. 3) and Mercer (Oct. 10), according to the Times Herald-Record.

Carolina Panthers: The Panthers have confirmed another round of "layoffs and furloughs" involving at least 20 staff members on the business side of the organization Joe Person is reporting. Person adds that the majority of those impacted have been furloughed until February.

Mount St. Joseph (D-III - OH): Mount St. Joseph University has a staff opening available, paying $4,500 September-May with no other benefits provided. Looking for best overall fit, so all positions are being considered. Preference will be given to local candidates or candidates who can easily relocate to Cincinnati, OH area. SEC: The league announced their full 2020 schedule last night.

Florida State: Mike Norvell has met with the wide receiver that publicly aired some frustrations, and the player has now apologized.

Bluefield State (D-II - WV): Bluefield State has announced that they're planning to bring back football (and also add 11 other sports). "To do this now is our way of saying there is life after COVID for this College and our community."
