SEC: The SEC is pressuring the state of Mississippi to change its state flag.

Alabama vs. Ohio State: The two powerhouse programs have inked a home-and-home series with each other with the games to take place in 2027 (in Columbus) and 2028 (in Tuscaloosa).

Hard Knocks: The hit HBO series is heading to Los Angeles to chronicle the Rams AND Chargers this fall. The series kicks off August 11th.

Nebraska: The school has announced that head football coach Scott Frost and head men's basketball coach Fred Hoiberg will each donate a portion of their salaries back to the athletic department for the upcoming fiscal year.

Baltimore Ravens: GM Eric DeCosta has announced some new assignments within the organization's personnel / scouting department. Player personnel coordinator Mark Azevedo will now serve as the assistant director of college and pro personnel, west area scout David Blackburn has been promoted to national scout, and northeast area scout Joey Cleary will move into a west area scout.

Long Island University (FCS): Sources tells FootballScoop that offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Brian Hughes and linebackers coach / special teams coordinator Jim Gibbons are no longer with the program. Both assistants were the longest tenured coaches on staff.

St. Norbert (D-III - WI): Riley Swanson, who previously served as the defensive coordinator at Finlandia (D-III - MI), has been announced as the team's new defensive coordinator.

Waynesburg (D-II - PA): Waynesburg University is immediately accepting applications for a graduate assistant. Applicants will be responsible for managing their own recruiting area and will be responsible for coaching and managing their own position, including meetings. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to, film breakdown, data entry, recruiting, assisting with game preparation and other duties assigned by the head coach. Needs to be efficient in Hudl,Excel, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Power Point. Position will report to Athletic Director. Other duties include but are not limited to: game manager, working in accordance with all athletic staff members, and representing the University in a positive manner. Position will include tuition waiver and stipend. Bachelorโ€™s degree and admission into a Waynesburg University graduate program is required. ACC: The ACC has announced its media days will take place virtually July 21-23. This means all 10 FBS leagues will hold virtual media days.

Ferris State (D-II - MI): Ryan Partridge, the head coach at Liberty HS (CA), is leaving his post to become the linebackers coach at Ferris State, source tells FootballScoop.

LSU: Manny Michel has been added to the LSU staff as a defensive analyst on Ed Orgeron's staff, 247 reports and adds that he will work with the defensive line. Michel spent two different stints at Louisiana-Monroe as defensive line coach, and also served as co-defensive coordinator before retiring from coaching. He has also coached the defensive line or coordinated the defenses at McNeese State, Nicholls State, and spent nearly a decade as an assistant at John Curtis HS (LA).

FIU: Florida International University is seeking applicants for a defensive graduate assistant defensive line coach. A minimum GPA of 3.0 and a bachelors degree is required. NCAA: The Division I Council has formally approved the preseason schedule, beginning as soon as July 6. Details here.

Akron: The University of Akron is seeking applicants for an unpaid volunteer position to work with special teams. This is an entry level position that does not include housing, meals, or benefits. Seeking applicants with previous special teams background, knowledge of DVSport, experience with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint. Texas A&M Kingsville (D-II โ€“ TX): TAMUK is looking to fill an offensive graduate assistant position to begin July 2020. Position will be responsible for the following; film breakdown, practice organization, game day preparation, recruiting area, student athlete development, and other duties assigned by the Head Football Coach. This position will include tuition assistance and a meal plan. Qualifications include bachelors degree and acceptance into graduate program. Quincy (D-II - IL): Quincy University has two openings for a full-time Offensive coach and a Graduate Assistant Offensive Skill Coach. The full time position is for an Offensive skill position and may have coordinator title / responsibilities for the right candidate.
