MACtion: Well, this morning Ralph Russo reported the MAC was planning to move forward with a season; however word this afternoon from Ross Dellenger is that they have delayed a decision until Saturday. Word had been circulating within the profession that NIU was strongly considering not playing this season regardless of the conference decision. Will update when more is clear.
Tulane: Tulane has added games with South Alabama (Sept. 12) and Southern Miss (Sept. 26) to its schedule. The additions bring the Wave's schedule back to 12 games.
SoCon (FCS): The Southern Conference released a statement Thursday saying it is still evaluating its path forward and reviewing guidance released by the NCAA Board of Governors on Wednesday. "Various options are being explored to evaluate the feasibility of a safe and successful return to competition," the statement read.
Madonna (NAIA - MI): Madonna University, located in Livonia, MI is seeking a highly motivated defensive graduate assistant. The Graduate Assistant (GA) must be fully admitted to a Graduate degree program at Madonna University. The GA must register for a minimum of 6 semester hours (minimum of 9 semester hours is required for international graduate assistants) during each Fall and Winter semester. The GA may register for additional credits up to a maximum of 24 semester hours per academic year. The GA must maintain good standing academically (3.0 or higher GPA each semester) and adhere to the University Code of Conduct to maintain their position. Compensation includes tuition, and potential room and board, meal plan or stipend, depending on applicant’s preference. A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (4.0) scale required. Texas Tech: Texas Tech has added a Sept. 12 home game with Houston Baptist. The Red Raiders had lost all of their non-conference games due to cancelations or Big 12 restrictions.

Middle Tennessee-Troy: Middle Tennessee and Troy have lined up an in-season home-and-home to replace lost games elsewhere. The teams, which were not originally scheduled to play this season, will meet Sept. 5 or 19 at MTSU and Nov. 21 at Troy.

Coaches Poll: The first version of the coaches poll is out... and, well, ok.
BYU at Navy: BYU and Navy will meet Monday, Sept. 7 in Annapolis for a game to be televised by ESPN. These teams have only met twice previously but share an interesting history.
National Coalition of Minority Football Coaches: Maryland head coach Mike Locksley is set to announce the creation of the National Coalition of Minority Football Coaches.
Penn State: The Nittany Lions have announced that under current conditions there will be no fans in the stands at Beaver Stadium this fall.

Notre Dame: For the first time in nearly 100 years, Notre Dame will not play Navy this season Bill Wagner of the Capital Gazette is reporting. Wagner states "scheduling constraints imposed by the ACC" as the reasoning.
Kent State: Juan Soto has accepted an offensive graduate assistant position at Kent State working with the quarterbacks. Soto was previously the wide receivers coach / recruiting coordinator at Ventura College (JC - CA).
