Colorado State: The "situation" at Colorado State has....deteriorated. This is bad.

Pac-12: The State of California made a significant ruling this afternoon which greatly impacts the potential of the Pac-12 having a season this Fall.

SEC: The SEC announced two new opponents for each team this afternoon. Have a look; and sorry Missouri.

Conference USA: The Conference USA Board of Directors has approved the league's timeline and scheduling format for football competition for the 2020 season, as well as operational protocols for return to play. The 2020 C-USA football schedule continues to call for each of the league's teams to play eight conference games on their originally scheduled dates. The first conference game is scheduled for September 12. Non-conference games may be played at the discretion of the individual schools, with the ability to play up to four non-league contests.

Lone Star Conference (D-II): The Lone Star has postponed the season until the Spring.

Lee Corso: Coach Corso turned 85 today. Happy birthday Coach!

South Atlantic (D-II): The South Atlantic Conference has elected to postpone all intercollegiate athletic competition for fall sports until the spring 2021 semester.

James Madison (FCS - VA): James Madison has announced it will not play this fall, and instead focus on competing this spring. The Dukes had indicated they would try to compete as an independent after the CAA canceled its fall season; however now that less than 50% of FCS teams plan to play this Fall, the NCAA is expected to cancel the Fall championship which JMU was aiming for.

North Texas: Former Mean Green quarterback Mason Fine has been hired as the quarterbacks coach at Pawhuska (OK) High School, according to The Oklahoman. The leading passer in Oklahoma high school history, Fine will be charged with preparing UNT's 2021 quarterback commit, Bryce Drummond.

Texas: Tom Herman said Friday that assistant head coach Stan Drayton and defensive coordinator Chris Ash would lead the team in his absence if he was forced to quarantine, though he would still attend meetings remotely.

Northwestern: After shutting down workouts earlier this week due to a positive Covid test, doctors retested players and coaches and got zero positive tests. Fitz says it was determined the earlier result was a false positive. Northwestern held their first day of camp today.

Louisiana Tech-ULM: Louisiana Tech and ULM have added a game in Shreveport on Nov. 21. The game replaces canceled outings against SEC opponents for both schools.

Player movements: A few days ago #BigTenUnited, a group purportedly representing over 1,000 Big Ten football players went public with a long list of concerns. Today, Ohio State student athletes went public saying they aren't on board with that list, and emphasized they believe their athletic department and the conference are setting the standard in demonstrating care for the athletes health and safety. Very powerful statement coming from Ohio State student athletes.

Missouri Valley (FCS): Per a report, the Missouri Valley (the home of NDSU) is expected to be one of the final major dominoes to cancel the fall season. However...some teams may elect to play non-conference games.

Big Sky (FCS): The league has announced that they are postponing their fall 2020 football season to spring 2021. This most certainly spells the ends of the 2020 FCS playoffs, as Zach pointed out earlier with The Pioneer League calling off fall football.

XFL: The bankruptcy court approved the sale of the XFL assets to the Rock, Redbird Capital, Dany Garcia and squad this morning.

Pioneer League (FCS): The Pioneer Football League will not play this fall. Why this could spell the end of the 2020 FCS playoffs.

Southeastern (NAIA - FL): John Roberts, the former head coach at El Camino HS (San Diego, CA), has been hired to coach the offensive line, per source. Roberts most recently was on the staff at San Diego Mesa College (JC - CA).

National Coalition of Minority Football Coaches: Mike Locksley has created the latest Coalition of Minority Football Coaches.

Lindsey Wilson (NAIA – KY): Lindsey Wilson College is accepting applications for a restricted earnings assistant coach. This position will be working with an offensive skill position. Responsibilities include on-field coaching, recruiting, video editing, assisting with strength and conditioning, and other duties within the football program. Compensation includes housing, a Fall & Spring semester meal plan, and a $500 monthly stipend. Successful candidates must have a valid driver’s license, pass a background check, and be available to start in August.

Masters of Sports Administration:Upper Iowa’s MSA degree provides learners with the current theories, concepts, and learning models necessary to assume administrative, coaching and leadership roles in high school, higher education and sports business settings. The online degree is available with emphasis in Sports Management or Coaching & Leadership Education.

Ohio State / Michigan: After Harbaugh complained about Ohio State's training, Ryan Day reportedly plans some payback.

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (JC): The head coaching job has been posted.

Old Dominion: Limited by state restrictions, Old Dominion coaches are holding three-a-days to get their team ready for the season.
