Alabama: Sources tell FootballScoop Kalen DeBoer is making another fascinating hire, hiring an FBS head strength coach...and putting him in a very unique and different position.

UConn: UConn is looking to fill a paid strength and conditioning internship. Position will answer directly to the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach. Assist the Football Strength and Conditioning staff in the implementation and supervision of a year-round comprehensive strength and conditioning program for the UCONN Football Team. Assist in the teaching and supervision of Olympic lifting, acceleration and speed development and change of direction. Assist in the implementation and supervision of a comprehensive nutrition and supplementation program. Assist in the set-up and breakdown of equipment for workouts. Assist in the rapid rehabilitation and reconditioning of injured athletes. Record, log and document various workouts as assigned by the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach or Assistant Football Strength and Conditioning Coach. Perform all other duties assigned by the Head or Assistant Football Strength and Conditioning Coaches. The position is a 6-month appointment and the pay will be $12,500 for that duration. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field. Minimum of two years’ experience in the field of strength and conditioning. Holding CSCS certification.
