Tennessee: University of Tennessee is accepting applications for VOLUNTEER sports science interns to contribute to the Football Program for the 2025 Spring Semester. This is an UNPAID opportunity that provides experience assisting the Sports Science Staff with the implementation of comprehensive, sport-specific, injury prevention and performance enhancement training programs. In addition to daily responsibilities, this internship includes a professional development curriculum. Some of the tools you will use are Catapult, Vald, 1080, Enode, Eliteform, Plyomat, Musclelabs, and PowerKube. The goal of this internship is to develop highly effective sports scientists who are job ready. This internship is expected to begin in January and run through May. Prospective candidates must possess a desire to become a sports science professional, strong character, and demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Required qualifications include achievement or current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related course of study. Deadline to apply: October 31 st , 2024. North Carolina Central University: The Sports Performance Department at North Carolina Central University is accepting internship applications for the 2024 Spring Semester. This is an UNPAID internship; this volunteer position offers Division I experience and the opportunity for future recommendations or opportunities in the field of strength and conditioning. Candidates will COACH and will have a chance to serve as top assistants for select varsity sports. Qualifications: Candidates must have a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Must be working towards a degree in the field of exercise science or similar. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and pursuing SCCC, CSCS or relevant certification from one of the following: NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW and CPR –First Aid certification. Candidates additionally have the option of completing the internship practicum for the CSCCa Examination. Queens University of Charlotte: Queens University of Charlotte seeks a Director of Sports Performance. The position is responsible leading the sports performance department in the development and implementation of performance enhancement, sport-specific conditioning, and injury prevention programs for more than 600 student-athletes while simultaneously managing the daily operations and sports performance staff of the Levine Center weight room and the Sports Complex weight room. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred, a minimum of three years strength and conditioning coaching experience preferably at the collegiate level, and current CSCS or SCCC certification.
