Auburn: Bryan Harsin confirmed today he is bringing Jeff Pitman from Boise State as his head strength coach.
Duke: Duke University Olympic Sports Performance is looking for qualified candidates for our internship position for the SUMMER of 2021. Why you should apply: Duke University is one of the most successful programs in Division I Athletics and competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. As an intern you would work with men's and women's programs (excluding football and Men’s and Women’s basketball). You would also go through our internship curriculum with program writing assignments, research presentations, mock interviews, and on floor coaching. Two internship options for summer 2021: Position for class credit: Undergraduate and graduate level credits are available for students during the summer semester. CSCS position: participate in a one semester curriculum which qualifies candidates to take the NSCA CSCS exam. Duke Sports Performance will cover the cost of the exam fee. Our goals for our interns: Be an integral member of the staff, improve on floor coaching, assist in program writing, implementation, and analysis, and learn and develop the necessary tools to obtain a career in the strength and conditioning field. Responsibilities include: Assisting full-time staff in the development and implementation of programs designed to improve sports performance, attend practices and games, and be able to take initiative. Interns will complete weekly assignments, attend internship and staff meetings and participate in staff continuing education activities as a part of their intern curriculum. Qualifications include: A strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm, respect, and desire to pursue a career in the field of Sports Performance. Candidates must act in a professional manner and adhere to the Duke University Sports Performance Internship Program Standards. The screening process consists of the following steps: 1. Resume review 2. Phone interview with staff 3. Video interview with full-time Olympic Sports Performance Coaches for candidate finalists 4. Federal Background and Criminal Records Check Please only submit a resume if you are willing and able to: 1. Follow through with all four steps listed above, 2. Move to Durham, North Carolina for at least the length of one or two full academic semesters, and 3. Baylor: LSU senior associate strength coach Vic Viloria is headed to Baylor to become the head strength coach per Sicem365. After spending years at Jimbo Fisher’s head strength coach, Viloria returned to LSU for the 2018 season and has been working with Tommy Moffitt since.
Sanford Health: Sanford Health has an opening for a full time Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist located in Bismarck, ND. This position would have the opportunity to continue to develop as a coach and play an instrumental role in operations with the Sanford Power department.
