Concordia St. Paul: Concordia St. Paul Strength and Conditioning is accepting applications for 2020 FallStrength and Conditioning Volunteer Internship. This is an UNPAID position. Start date: August 31st, 2020 - End Date: December 4th, 2020. Volunteer responsibilities include: Assisting with implementation of strength and conditioning programs at CSP; Assisting with daily operations and facility/equipment maintenance; set up and take down of strength and conditioning facilities for workouts; involvement in an internship education program, and other duties assigned by the strength staff. Due to COVID-19 we have been working with medical professionals to take precautions to prevent the spread to our student athletes and staff. Volunteer qualifications include: CPR/First Aid and AED certification; passion to listen, learn and apply your knowledge. Preferred qualifications include: Pursuing CSCS or SCCC certification, playing and/or coaching experience in collegiate (or higher) athletics. New Mexico: University of New Mexico Football athletic performance is currently accepting applications for the FALL 2020 volunteer internship positions. These are positions for the FALL 2020 training session. The start date is approximately July 1st , with the opportunity to stay longer. Qualified candidates would work with all facets of a NCAA Division 1 FBS FOOTBALL athletic performance program. This is an UNPAID position. However, the position offers the opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning, as well as the fulfillment of credit hours towards a degree program. The position is responsible for assisting FOOTBALL athletic performance staff with the implementation of the program, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, and hands-on experience training collegiate athletes. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a strong work ethic. Preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body (USAW, CSCS, CSCCa), previous coaching experience and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements.
