Purdue: The Purdue University Football Strength and Conditioning Staff seeks to hire Performance Aides for the 2024 summer period. Start date: June 1st. This is a PAID position with BENEFITS. Pay is commensurate with experience. NO HOUSING PROVIDED. Performance Aides will be provided with opportunities to gain professional experience at the highest collegiate level. The main responsibilities of this position include supervision and safety of the weight room and on-field activities, assisting with daily maintenance duties, and other assigned duties. Preferred applicants must be highly motivated, have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, be detail oriented, have previous training experience, and must be serious about the profession. Applicants should have or be working towards a nationally accredited certification in Strength and Conditioning. Applicants must be CPR/AED certified. Alabama A&M: The Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for the positions of VOLUNTEER INTERN for Summer Semester of 2024 (May 230th - August 1st). With a possible extension through the Fall of 2024. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES will include but are not limited to assisting in the implementation of the Strength and Conditioning programs; set up and break down for daily activities, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, and participation in the internship curriculum. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION, HOUSING, OR TRANSPORTATION will be provided, however, Interns will receive experience working in a Division 1 training environment and have the opportunity to earn recommendations for future career opportunities and/or receive college credit if applicable. The Intern’s level of ambition will determine the level of the learning experience. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a strong work ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Interns are expected to be punctual, enthusiastic, reliable, productive and consistent along with having the financial capability to hold the position for the duration of the internship. Ideal candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework earning and undergraduate degree in exercise science or related field of study. Dallas Baptist: DBU is a Christ-centered, liberal arts institution that is a proud member of both the Missouri Valley Conference (DI) and the Lone Star Conference (DII); we are searching for an aspiring athletic performance coach to fill our open graduate student assistant coaching position; this position is expected to start August 1, 2024. Prospective candidates will have the opportunity to work under the guidance of the Dallas Baptist University Athletic Performance coaching staff, a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) approved mentor/master strength coach, as well as gain valuable hands-on experience working with both Division I and Division II athletes. The graduate student assistant coach will have the opportunity to create programs for and train assigned DBU athletic teams, as well as assist full-time staff in various capacities. Please note, this is a graduate student assistant position, not full time. This position provides full tuition towards a master’s degree at DBU, includes hourly pay, attendance to one conference per year, apparel, and a semesterly meal plan all as compensation. Applicants must be certified by either the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) or the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) and have at least one full-time collegiate internship experience to be eligible.
