Stanford: Stanford Football Sports Performance is looking for 3-6 Volunteer Interns for the Spring with dates running from May 20th to September 1st. This internship is designed for individuals who want to have a career in the field of Football Sports Performance. This is an UNPAID position. Interns will be provided with opportunities to grow and have hands-on coaching experience in a FBS football program. Responsibilities include assisting in all aspects of training, set-up and breakdown of daily training sessions, data collection, as well as participation in a rigorous internship curriculum. New Hampshire (FCS): The University of New Hampshire Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applicants for the Summer of 2024. Interns will have the opportunity to gain hands-on coaching experience in a Division I setting working with all teams including but not limited to Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, and Men’s Ice Hockey. Interns will assist with daily logistical tasks in the varsity weight room. Interns will participate in and complete the internship curriculum given by the Internship Director and other strength coaches on staff. Candidates that EXCEL within the internship program will also have the opportunity earn the accredited internship hours needed for the SCCC certification through the CSCCa. Duties Include: Set up and breakdown of the weight room, equipment maintenance, stocking nutrition station, assisting in all S&C related activities with staff members. This internship will begin May 29th and will conclude August 16 th , 2024 with the opportunity to stay on for the Fall of 2024. The internship is designed for individuals who want to become collegiate strength coaches. This is an unpaid volunteer position, housing, meals, and stipend will NOT be provided. Qualifications: current CPR / AED certification; completion or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in exercise science or related field. Preferred qualifications: working towards certifications from CSCCa, NSCA, USAW, previous coaching experience, or experience in collegiate sports. UTSA: The University of Texas at San Antonio Football is now accepting applications for summer 2024 volunteer interns. This internship will begin Monday, May 20th, and will conclude on August 4th, 2024. These are unpaid, volunteer positions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for the University of Texas at San Antonio Football. Interns will gain hands on coaching experience in a Division I setting, learn to utilize sport technology data for GPS tracking and VBT, as well as assist with daily logistical tasks in the weight room and complete the internship curriculum. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional in the collegiate or professional setting. Applicants should be working towards holding a certification in at least one of the major certifications below. Preferred but not limited to: CPR/AED/First Aid Certified, CSCS, CSCCa, or USAW. Other preferred qualifications include previous coaching in a collegiate setting and/or personal involvement in a collegiate competitive sport. Georgia: The University of Georgia Football Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking highly motivated interns to fulfill UNPAID internship positions with our Football program from May to end of July 2024. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, be professional, proficient and have a desire to become a sports performance coach. Candidates will also earn accredited hours under a Master Strength Coach needed for the SCCC certification through the CSCCa. Hours will vary throughout the summer including early morning, late afternoon, or weekend hours. Internship responsibilities will include various duties within the UGA Football S&C Staff. Western Michigan: Western Michigan University Football Strength and Conditioning program is now accepting applications for Summer 2024 intern candidates. This is a volunteer unpaid position that will be responsible for assisting the Western Michigan Football Strength and Conditioning staff with the execution of the football Winter/Spring program. Our intern development program will give you a hands-on experience working with division 1 college football athletes and the tools for future professional opportunities. In addition to this, weekly education sessions with other leaders in the field are provided. Required qualifications include: completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Start date will be May 20th, 2024. Internship will conclude July 26 th , 2024 with an opportunity to continue through the Fall pending performance evaluation.
