South Carolina: Tennessee assistant director of sports performance Byron Jerideau is expected to join the Gamecocks strength staff in a similar role, per source.

Ole Miss: The University of Mississippi Football Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for the Spring 2021. The duration of the internship is JAN 17th – May 1st, with the opportunity to stay longer. Qualified candidates would get hands on experience with one of the most storied FBS / SEC Football Programs. This is an UNPAID position. However, the position offers the opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning, as well as the fulfillment of credit hours towards a degree program. This position would assist in the implementation of our program, set up and break down of all workouts and maintenance and upkeep of our weight room. Required qualifications include having or working towards degree, a relentless work ethic, attention to detail and a desire to become a strength and conditioning coach. Preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized strength and conditioning association (USAW, CSCS, CSCCa), previous coaching experience and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements. Arkansas State: Arkansas State University’s Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting 6 applications for Volunteer Interns for the Spring of 2021. We are looking to fill positions immediately, the internship will conclude at the end of May 2021 with opportunity to stay through the summer.This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for Football & Olympic sports, set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, and completion of the internship curriculum. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional in the collegiate or professional setting. All applicants should have, or be working towards an accredited certification (CSCS or SCCC). Other preferred qualifications include previous coaching in a collegiate setting and personal involvement in a collegiate competitive sport. Applications will be taken until the positions are filled. NJIT: The NJIT Strength and Conditioning Department is looking for intern strength and conditioning coaches for the spring 2021 semester. This position will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and hands-on experience at the Division 1 level with a variety of sports. The position will also have the opportunity to work with GPS monitoring and Velocity-Based Training technology. Responsibilities: Assist in all aspects of the strength and conditioning program, as assigned. Requirements: Working toward or completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. First Aid/CPR/AED Certified. Preferred: CSCS or SCCC. Looking to move into a full-time position in strength and conditioning.
