Ball State: The Ball State University Football Strength and Conditioning Staff is now accepting applications for 2-3 Volunteer Interns for the 2021 summer strength and conditioning program. This internship will give you the opportunity to work with the reigning 2020 MAC Football Champions Strength & Conditioning Program. The internship begins the week of May 17th, 2021 and ends July 28th, 2021. These are VOLUNTEER positions. Completion of this internship can fulfill credit hours toward your bachelors/masters degree completion. You can also gain hours toward SCCC Certification with the CSCCa, along with hands on experience working with Fatigue Managements systems which includes Catapult GPS monitoring. Daily responsibilities for these positions include, but are not limited to: assistance in the supervision of all aspects of training of the Ball State University football team. Including: set up and breakdown for daily strength and conditioning activities, routine maintenance, cleaning, & organization of the training facility. Desired characteristics for candidates include; strong work ethic, desire to enhance knowledge in all aspects of S&C, attention to detail, punctuality, and accountability. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Exercise Science; CSCS or USAW certifications; CPR certification. Previous experience in a Strength and Conditioning Program or having prior collegiate athletics experience is also considered. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi: The Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi Sports Performance Department is currently accepting applications for 1-2 IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for Summer 2021 VOLUNTEER/UNPAID internship positions. The internship durations is June 1, 2021 – August 1, 2021 with the opportunity to stay longer. Although this position is UNPAID, completion of this internship can fulfill hours towards a program degree and the opportunity for experience working primarily with Division 1 Men’s and Women’s Basketball as well as miscellaneous Olympic Sports athletes. This is a coaching intensive internship with the opportunity for a lot of hands-on experience and earned autonomy. Internship curriculum is designed and implemented by a CSCCa approved mentor. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: daily weight room maintenance, set-up, break down, assist with program implementation, supervision of athletes during training sessions and completion of internship curriculum. Applicants should be working towards a Bachelors in Kinesiology or a related field. Saint Louis: Saint Louis University is accepting applications for our unpaid Summer Sports Performance Internship Program, which runs from June 21 to August 11, 2021. Candidates should have or be progressing toward the CSCS or CSCCa certification, be working toward a bachelors or masters degree in a field related to strength and conditioning, and have a strong desire to work in the collegiate setting. Interns will get to assist our Sports Performance coaches with the training of men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, and a variety of Olympic sport athletes. They also will have the opportunity to be mentored by a staff that has experience coaching athletes in the professional, collegiate, and private sectors of training in locations all around the country. Responsibilities will include coaching duties as earned, in addition to participating in an educational curriculum and assisting with facility maintenance. North Dakota State: North Dakota State University’s Strength and Conditioning department is seeking applicants for a graduate assistant Strength and Conditioning coach to start in the fall or summer of 2021. This position will primarily assist with all aspects of the football strength and conditioning and an Olympic sport as assigned. Requirements: Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a health and human performance related field, and have a strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Applicants must be CPR, AED and First Aid certified, and must be certified or working towards certification through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) or National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS). Candidates must possess a relentless work-ethic and have a strong desire to work with football in an intense environment. They must understand the importance nutrition plays in the development of student-athletes and be willing to assist in that role. Those that are inquisitive and have the ability to listen and learn through an example-based, learning environment are encouraged to apply. Previous collegiate strength and conditioning internship experience or athletic coaching experience is required. Please include cumulative GPA on resume.
