Texas Tech: Texas Tech University Football Strength and Conditioning is seeking 1-2 S&C interns for summer 2021 (May 24 th - July 31 st) . This position provides an opportunity for you grow in the field of strength and conditioning. As a staff we provide multiple years of experience at all levels. You will learn how an entire football program functions and is in sync to get the very best out of their athletes. You will be expected to be professional, accept coaching, and be the hardest worker in room. We are seeking individuals wanting to gain knowledge and hands on experience in this field. Our goal is to find individuals who are competitors, love the process and are willing to progress in this field. In turn, our staff will do everything possible to help you continue to work towards your goal of being a strength and conditioning coach. Stanford: Stanford University Football Sports Performance is accepting applications for volunteer intern coaches to contribute to the Football Sports Performance program for the 2021 Summer & Fall Quarters. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to serve as a Sports Performance Intern Coach and assist in all training sessions with the FOOTBALL program in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an UNPAID opportunity that provides experience assisting the Football Sports Performance staff with the implementation of comprehensive, sport-specific, injury prevention and performance enhancement training programs. In addition to learning about and assisting with daily responsibilities, this internship includes a professional development curriculum built on the foundation of the Stanford Football Sports Performance training philosophies. This curriculum includes education of functional strength training techniques, coaching development, sport-specific conditioning concepts, sport science technologies and applications, professional development presentations, programming, weight room management/logistics, along with injury prevention practices. The goal of this internship is to develop highly effective sports performance coaches with the potential to transition into a paid position with Stanford, another university, or professional organization. Potential candidates must have a strong desire to become a collegiate FOOTBALL sports performance coach, possess an enthusiastic spirit, strong character, and demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills. Required qualifications include achievement or current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related course of study and CSCS or SCCC certification. Applicants must also have current CPR/AED certification. This internship is expected to begin no later than Monday, June 15th, 2021, with an expected duration of six months. Missouri State: The Missouri State Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for the position of VOLUNTEER INTERN for the summer of 2021. DURATION is from May 28th to July 30th. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES will include but are not limited to assisting in the implementation of the Strength and Conditioning programs; set up and break down for daily activities, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, and participation in the internship curriculum. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION, HOUSING, OR TRANSPORTATION will be provided. However, interns will receive experience working in a Division 1 training environment and have the opportunity to earn recommendations for future career opportunities and/or receive college credit if applicable. The intern’s level of ambition will determine the level of the learning experience. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a strong work ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Interns are expected to be punctual, enthusiastic, reliable, productive and consistent along with having the financial capability to hold the position for the duration of the internship. Ideal candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework earning and undergraduate degree in exercise science or related field of study. Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCa, SCCC; USAW) is preferred but not required.
