Sources: South Alabama staff nearly complete with two more hires (South Alabama)

The South Alabama staff is nearly complete, with two more hires coming aboard and only one on-the-field job still open.

Sources tell FootballScoop that Landius Wilkerson and Jamael Lett will join the staff, Wilkerson as defensive line coach and Lett as special teams coordinator / defensive assistant.

Wilkerson spent one season as the defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator at Chattanooga, and was the defensive ends coach at Jacksonville State for two seasons prior. He played at Alabama State and spent eight seasons as the defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Ala.

Lett recently completed his first season as defensive backs coach at Akron, and prior to that spent three seasons in the same role at Samford. He broke into college coaching in 2015 as the assistant defensive backs coach at UT-Martin. The Mobile native played at Samford and previously coached at Mobile's Davidson High School.

With Wilkerson and Lett aboard, receivers remains the only on-the-field job yet to be filled on Kane Wommack's first South Alabama staff.
