After leaving Tiffin (D-II - OH) for an opportunity to lead a program at the FCS level at Gardner-Webb (FCS- NC), Cris Reisert has been busy building a quality staff.
Now, sources share, he's found his defensive coordinator at the major college level.
Sources tell FootballScoop that Western Michigan safeties coach Tim Cooper is set to join Reisert's staff as defensive coordinator.
Cooper is the former defensive coordinator at the University of Indianapolis (D-II), where he spent four seasons.
In 2021, his defense finished among the top ten in the nation in sacks per game.
Cooper also spent two seasons in a quality control role at Pitt.
