NCAA President Mark Emmert made how much in 2018? (NCAA)

NCAA President Mark Emmert's salary for 2018 was shared today by Steve Berkowitz of USA Today.

According to the release, Emmert was credited with just over $2.7 million in total compensation during the 2018 calendar year. $2.3 million of that was base salary, which was an increase of $200k from what he pulled in during 2017.

The article points out that Emmert reportedly had a net compensation of $2.9 million back in 2017, which included deferred pay that had been reported on prior year's returns.

In response to the cuts being made around the country due to COVID-19, Emmert and a host of other senior members of the NCAA are taking 20% paycuts, it was announced back in late March.

To put Emmert's earnings in 2018 in perspective with the latest USA Today coaching salary database, Emmert would rank in line with what Texas Tech's Matt Wells, Kansas' Les Miles, and Duke's David Cutcliffe make annually.
