Michigan and Sherrone Moore reportedly adding former SEC assistant to staff

Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines are set to add some SEC experience to the staff according to a report last night.

Jayden Everett, the former running backs coach at Vanderbilt, is expected to join the staff in Ann Arbor, 247 shares.

In his lone season at Vandy, Everett helped Sedrick Alexander earn SEC All-Freshman team honors after he led SEC freshman in rushing yards.

He joined the Commodores after two seasons coaching the running backs at Tulsa where he helped develop a 1,000 yard rusher in 2021 in Shamari Brooks.

Everett, a former linebacker at Indiana State, also has stops in the midwest at two MAC schools in Central Michigan (2017-18) and Akron (2019-20).

After starting his coaching career at Hutchinson CC (JC - KS), he got his start got his start coaching at his alma mater, where he spent four seasons working with the running backs. During that time, he mentored the school's second all-time leading rusher in Shakir Bell, who finished with over 4,000 career rushing yards.
