SEC Network analyst Greg McElroy won a state title in high school at Southlake Carroll (TX), and led Alabama to conference and national titles in 2009, so he may not have any college eligibility left, but during a recent stop at Kentucky he got the high profile recruit treatment for a day.
With ESPN cameras in tow, Kentucky tight ends coach / recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow gave McElroy the blue-chip recruit treatment with a quick facility tour and stop in the equipment room and locker room.
Marrow does a pretty good job pretending that McElroy has some eligibility left so you get a pretty good feeling for how things are when Kentucky has a recruit on campus.
As much as McElroy enjoyed this tour, he's really going to like Kentucky's new $45 million facility when it's finished.
