Here's a really good video from the folks at NC State profiling the life and journey of their graduate assistant coaches (Jake Kahut, Sterling Lucas, Ty Howle, and Doug Shearer). Two of the graduate assistants played for the Wolf Pack before starting their coaching career.
The video highlights the path to the position that every young, aspiring coach wants, and then highlights some of their job duties and expectations.
"We tallied it up one time, and we're working close to 100 hours a week, just like all the other coaches are." defensive grad asssistant Jake Kahut explains. "The only difference is, we're also going to school on top of that."
It's a grind, and these guys love it.
