A week ago, the Big Ten announced six games selected by ABC and ESPN for primetime telecasts, and today the conference unveiled six more games for broadcast on Big Ten Network, giving the conference a total of 14 primetime games as of today.
It's not great, but it's a long stride from where the Big Ten was a few years ago. There are even two November games designated for under-the-lights telecasts.
Ohio State and Nebraska make four primetime appearances apiece, most in the conference. Rutgers gets its Big Ten debut at home against Penn State in a primetime slot on BTN, and fellow newcomer Maryland gets defending Big Ten champion at home versus Michigan State under the lights on Nov. 15. Overall, there's a high hit rate in the Big Ten's primetime slate.
Here is the list as it stands today. Expect the number to rise when the season gets underway.
