Ottawa University (NAIA – KS): Ottawa University Athletic Performance Department is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant position (tuition waiver + stipend + meal plan) starting August 2025. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Athletic Performance staff in all aspects of training and the opportunity to lead 2-3 teams. The qualified candidate will be assigned sports based on background and experience. Other responsibilities include, daily maintenance and upkeep of facility, assist in mentoring and evaluating interns, nutritional assessment, etc. Candidates will receive valuable hands-on coaching experience in all aspects as well as the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of Strength & Conditioning. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Kinesiology or Exercise Science related field. CPR, First Aid and AED certification required. Possess or be working toward their CSCS (NSCA) or SCCC (CSCCa). CSCCa approved mentorship is available to assist your eligibility for the certification. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to be a collegiate strength coach and will possess a strong work ethic, high character values, attention to detail, sense of urgency, and a willingness to learn and grow. Skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and Teambuildr, is preferred. Candidates will need to be accepted into a graduate program at Ottawa.
