There is one SEC program with an "open for business" sign on its head coach's front door that absolutely is not pursuing Lane Kiffin: Auburn University.

The Tigers, seeking their replacement for the fired Hugh Freeze and to stabilize a program that since 2012 already has had four different full-time head coaches and three interims, have advanced the search with numerous candidates, including a pair of sitting Southeastern Conference head coaches and a prominent Group of Five leader, among other targets.
