Sources: Will Healy parts ways with six ETSU assistant coaches (Tyler Dell)

A day after accepting the head coaching post at ETSU, Will Healy has begun to overhaul the Bucs staff.

Multiple sources on Friday told FootballScoop that Healy declined to retain six ETSU assistant coaches.

Per sources, the following coaches are not returning to the Bucs staff:

On offense: running backs coach Dominique Davenport, tight ends coach Kishawn McClain and quarterbacks coach, Tyler Dell.

Defensively, Paul Potter, the outside linebackers coach; co-defensive coordinator Kevin Wolthausen and Cam Haney, defensive pass game coordinator and cornerbacks coach all were notified by Healy of his intent to take his inaugural ETSU staff in a different direction.

The Bucs enjoyed a strong, bounceback-season in 2024 under Tre Lamb, who left earlier this week to take over FBS program Tulsa.

ETSU closed this season 7-5 and just missed on an FCS Playoffs berth after dropping two of their final four games, including a particularly damaging defeat to Furman.

Next season, ETSU is scheduled to open the Healy era at home Aug. 30 against Murray State. The Bucs have scheduled September games at Josh Heupel's Tennessee Vols and FCS non-conference tilts against West Georgia and Elon.
