Sources: West Georgia head coach Will Hall to be OC at Louisiana-Lafayette (Will Hall)

West Georgia head coach Will Hall will be the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Louisiana-Lafayette, sources told FootballScoop Wednesday.

The move reunites Hall and Ragin' Cajuns head coach Mark Hudspeth, who combined to lead North Alabama to a 13-1 record and the Harlan Hill Trophy -- Division II's answer to the Heisman Trophy -- with Hudspeth as head coach and Hall as quarterback in 2003.

Hall, 36, jumped into coaching in 2004 after a brief indoor football career as the quarterbacks coach at Presbyterian College, becoming the head at West Alabama by 2011. He posted a 25-11 record in three seasons at West Alabama, then collected a 31-9 mark with two trips to the Division II semifinals from 2014-16 at West Georgia. Hall has twice won the Gulf South Conference's coach of the year award.

Hall joins a growing group of head coaches taking assistant jobs at higher-profile programs, following Dan Enos (Central Michigan to Arkansas), Pete Lembo (Ball State to Maryland) and, just last week, Beau Baldwin (Eastern Washington to California). Hall was also a candidate for the Ole Miss wide receivers job.

It is our understanding Jorge Munoz will transition to wide receivers coach to make room for Hall.
