Vanderbilt's staff overhaul is virtually complete.
Sources tell FootballScoop that fourth-year coach Clark Lea is elevating Jeff LePak to the role of special teams coordinator for the Commodores. LePak will also coach tight ends.
LePak is set to replace Justin Lustig, hired away earlier this week by James Franklin at Penn State.
A former tight end at the collegiate level, LePak has previous Power 5 experience from several seasons on staff at ACC program Syracuse.
He had been on Vanderbilt's staff under Lea in a quality control role in which he assisted Lustig with all things special teams.
LePak also has coached at McNeese State and Bowling Green, spending time at both Bowling Green and Syracuse with former coach Dino Babers.
Lea has drastically overhauled his Vanderbilt staff as the program shifted from its 2-10 2023 season into a pivotal 2024 campaign that marks Lea's fourth at his alma mater.
Vanderbilt will have new offensive, defensive and special teams coordinators as it opens spring camp in a few weeks. The Commodores begin their 2024 season Aug. 31 at home against Virginia Tech.
