Ole Miss, Lane Kiffin's win against Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M means big bonus bucks (Texas A&M)

Lane Kiffin perpetuated Jimbo Fisher's misery.

In the process Saturday as Kiffin's No. 10-ranked Ole Miss squad notched its eighth win against a lone loss at Alabama, Kiffin also secured an automatic extension and some lucrative bonuses atop his $8.75 million salary for the 2023 campaign.

Per terms of Kiffin's new deal, which were reported in January once released by the public university, Kiffin nabbed an automatic $150,000 bonus as soon as his Rebels closed out Fisher's slumping Texas A&M squad, 38-35, at home.

Additionally, Kiffin already had secured a six-figure bonus - $100,000 - when Ole Miss dismissed Georgia Tech in the season's opening month; his contract was structured to guarantee Kiffin the extra $100k for any non-conference win against a Power-5 foe.

Those two benchmarks alone pushed Kiffin's salary to $9 million for this year. He also has been guaranteed a $250,000 as long as he remains the Ole Miss coach through year's end.

Kiffin also has a tiered structure for his bowl bonus, and the Rebels already have secured postseason eligibility.

More importantly, the victory triggers an automatic 1-year extension, which secures another $9 million for Kiffin.

Barring an improbable run into the College Football Playoff, Kiffin could still nab a $250,000 bonus if Ole Miss closes its season with a New Year's Six bowl bid.
