As coaches, and even as fans, we're all guilty of losing our temper sometimes.
Apparently, at the Ivy League match up between Dartmouth and Harvard today, a Big Green coach was ejected after losing his temper after watching a fumbled punt get recovered by Harvard.
The Dartmouth coach allegedly took out his anger on the window in the press box, and was promptly escorted out of the stadium.
I'm not sure I've ever heard of something like that happening, especially at the college level, before. Here's a look at the aftermath.
Just the thought of that happening reminds me of this classic Will Muschamp GIF from his days as the defensive coordinator at Texas. Just replace the whiteboard with an innocent press box window...
Harvard went on to score 13 points in the final quarter for a quality 25-22 win over the 5-2 Mean Green. The Crimson improved to 4-3 on the year with the win.
Update: Following the game Dartmouth head coach Buddy Teevens identified the coach as Dion King (defensive quality control), adding King "let his emotions get the best of him."
"Dion and Dartmouth football are terribly sorry for his actions and any harm caused by them. We hold ourselves to high standards, and in this instance we failed to conduct ourselves appropriately. Dion, Dartmouth Football, and I apologize wholeheartedly to everyone impacted, as well as to Harvard and Dartmouth."
