Bowling Green: Sources tell FootballScoop Eddie George has retained Scott Loeffler's strength staff who he hired this off-season including Chris Fenelon (Head Strength and Conditioning Coach), CJ McFarland (Associate Head Strength and Conditioning Coach) and Ed Sykes (Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach).

Michigan State: Michigan State University Football Strength and Conditioning staff is currently accepting applications for our Summer 2025 volunteer internship program. The position will run from May 21, 2025 – July 25, 2025.Ideal candidates must be highly motivated and working towards a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field. Candidates must be CPR/AED certified and possess, or currently working towards their certification through the USAW, NSCA, or CSCCa. This internship will also fulfill the CSCCa practicum requirements working under the supervision of a CSCCa approved master coach. Internship college credit hours may be obtained as well.Duties of the internship will include set up and take down of the weight room, daily cleaning and maintenance, completion of a comprehensive educational curriculum, hands-on experience, and any other duties assigned by the strength and conditioning staff. Wake Forest: Wake Forest University, Football Strength and Conditioning is currently seeking volunteers for an UNPAID internship to contribute to the program for the SUMMER of 2025. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to assist the full-time staff with training sessions for football in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an unpaid opportunity that offers invaluable experience assisting the full-time coaching staff in training, set-up and breakdown of training, data collection and processing and participation in weekly continuing education. Potential candidates must possess a strong work ethic and character, great energy, and enthusiasm, as well as the ability to demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Potential candidates must have a great desire to learn about the strength and conditioning profession as well as pursue a career in the collegiate setting. Previous experience in a strength & conditioning program, coaching, internship experience, or collegiate athletics experience is preferred but not required. Ball State: Ball State University is seeking qualified candidates to fill an open Volunteer Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach (Football) position. This volunteer position would work under the direct supervision of the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Football. Candidates will be assigned duties based on previous experience and strengths within the program. Candidates will gain valuable experience working with a Division 1 football program. Candidates will assist in administrative duties, weight room management, data input, and entry, nutrition/fuel disbursement, and will be included in the semester-long intern curriculum. The chosen candidate(s) will receive no monetary compensation outside of gaining division 1 experience as a strength and conditioning volunteer, academic credit where needed, and recommendations for further job experience or opportunities. Selected applicants will get exposure to the hi-lo training system as well as velocity-based training, GPS technology, and force plate technology, as well as the daily operations and logistics of a Division 1 football program within the big picture of a yearly periodized development plan. We ask that all applicants be willing to commit to a minimum of one academic semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer). The volunteer position can be for academic credit. Required Qualifications: CPR/AED/First Aid, a strong interest in becoming a strength and conditioning coach at the high school, collegiate, or professional level. Preferred Qualifications: Preparing for or having an accredited certification (CSCS/SCCC), Experience in athletics or training athletes, and a Bachelor's degree in an exercise science-related field.
