Ball State: The Ball State University Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for 2 Volunteer Interns for Summer of 2015. The internship begins May 11th and ends July 24th. These are unpaid positions. Completion of this internship can fulfill potential credit hours toward a program degree, and offer an opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning. Daily responsibilities for these positions include, but are not limited to; assistance in the supervision of the Ball State University Football team, set up and breakdown for daily strength and conditioning activities, routine maintenance, cleaning, and organization of the training facility. Desired characteristics for these positions include; great work ethic, strong desire to enhance knowledge of strength and conditioning, attention to detail, punctuality, and accountability. Prairie View A&M: The Prairie View A&M University Strength and Conditioning department is seeking applicants for the 2015 Non-Paid Summer Mentorship/Internship program. This program is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Responsibilities will include helping with session set up and breakdown, completion of educational assignments and presentations on designated topics. Applicants must have a strong willingness to learn, excellent organizational skills, and be able to work well in a group setting. Applicants must also exhibit self-initiative and high energy drive. Requirements: College degree, CSCS (preferred not required) and CPR certification. Must have experience in using Microsoft Excel, Word as well as Google Sheets and Google Slides. North Alabama: Army assistant strength coach Ryan Wood has left for the head strength job at North Alabama.
Louisiana Monroe: The University of Louisiana Monroe is seeking a Graduate Assistant starting in the Fall semester of 2015. Potential candidates must have a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. All candidates must be enrolled for the 2015 fall semester. This is a paid position with $2,500 dollars a semester, tuition is paid for minus fee's and books, as well as 50 meals a semester. The position will be assigned to preparing, programming, and coaching women's basketball, women's soccer, and assisting with football. Potential candidates must be up to date on CPR/AED certification as well as hold or be working towards the CSCS or SCCC.
