North Georgia: The University of North Georgia Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for the Strength and Conditioning internship for the 2015 Fall academic semester. This is an unpaid position. The applicant should possess a minimum of three years of personal training and/or one year in a strength and conditioning setting. The applicant must also hold a nationally recognized certification and a CPR/AED certification. Central Missouri: The University of Central Missouri Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking qualified applicants for Fall 2015 graduate assistant position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: design and implementation of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams; demonstration and instruction of various weightlifting techniques; supervision of team workouts; assist with the maintenance and upkeep. Qualifications: (Required) – Bachelor’s degree, working towards or already obtained CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification and acceptance into graduate school. Must also have CPR certifications; previous strength and conditioning experience at the collegiate level; experience in designing and implementing workout programs. Wofford: Wofford College Athletics is seeking one Assistant Coach and two Volunteer Interns for the Strength and Conditioning Department. All applicants must possess the desire to learn as well as have an understanding of the demands of the business and be enthusiastic for the opportunity to prepare and enhance the student-athlete on a daily basis. Requirements for the Assistant position are as follows: Bachelor’s Degree, CSCS or SCCC Certification, CPR/First Aid Certification, previous experience at the collegiate level in the weight room. The position pays a monthly stipend plus furnished housing and an on-campus meal plan for the successful applicant. Requirements for the Internship positions are as follows: have a passion to grow and develop knowledge within the profession in training student-athletes. North Carolina A&T: The North Carolina A&T State University Strength and Conditioning department is accepting applications for a VOLUNTEER, unpaid internship for the Fall 2015 semester. The candidate must have a strong passion for the field, and desire to continue to grow as a strength and conditioning coach. The successful candidate will receive hands-on experience working with a wide variety of teams at the Division 1level. The candidate will also have the opportunity to obtain the CSCCa-SCCC certification through the CSCCa mentorship program. Preferred qualifications: Currently have or in the process of obtaining a Bachelors degree in the strength and conditioning field, the SCCC, CSCS, and CPR/AED certifications.
