Video: Miami releases newest renderings of Sun Life Stadium (facilities)

Sometimes it pays to be a college program in a pro sports town.

The Miami Dolphins are in the midst of a $350 million renovation of Sun Life Stadium, a 28-year-old venue under its seventh (!!!) name, in an effort to bring the Super Bowl back to South Florida. The Miami area has hosted 10 Super Bowls, tied with New Orleans for the most of any metro area, but the big game hasn't been played at Sun Life since the New Orleans Saints' upset of the Indianapolis Colts in 2010, and won't host another Super Bowl until 2019 at the earliest. That nine-year (and counting) gap will be the longest Miami has experienced since the creation of the Super Bowl. Hence, the nine-figure makeover that the Hurricanes will benefit from.

On Tuesday Miami released a video touting the new-and-improved Sun Life that fans, players and recruits will enjoy when the project is complete in 2016.
