Every winning locker room is a happy locker room... but a winning bowl locker room is an especially happy locker room. You've built up to that single game for close to a month and, of course, it's the end of the season. For seniors, it's the last time they'll ever be in a winning locker room. For everyone else, it's one last celebration before getting out of pads for the next three months or so.
Arizona turned that up another two notches with its win over Boston College in the Independence Bowl (you can call it the AdvoCare V100 Bowl, but it's still the Independence Bowl to me). The Wildcats turned a 7-6 game late in the first quarter into a 42-6 blowout early in the fourth quarter. Arizona won the game, 42-19, and finished 8-5 for the second consecutive year.
In handing out game balls, Rich Rod spotlighted long-time defensive coordinator Jeff Casteel - who lost a brother two days prior to the game - and each of Arizona's 16 seniors.
