Samford: Samford University Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning VOLUNTEER INTERNS. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for Football and all Olympic Sports, bringing fire and passion to the workplace day in and day out, assisting in creating the best and most productive training environment for our student athletes, and assist in creating a competitive training atmosphere. Some candidates will have the opportunity to travel with various sports during if you are chosen to remain through the fall semester. Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework for undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or a related field of study. Candidates must also have a burning desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW) are preferred. CSCCa mentorship program will be available for candidates seeking to obtain the SCCC certification based on approval by the Director.
