The Midwest isn't the only place in the country being pounded with snow and sub zero temperatures, even major cities down south like Atlanta are dealing the wrath of mother nature in the form of three inches of snow.

It's because of those conditions that Tom Herman can stake claim to the best recruiting story of the year.

While down in Atlanta recruiting, Herman spent 17 straight hours stranded in his car stuck in traffic and took to Twitter to share the experience. 17 hours!

After some radio silence from coach Herman, his wife chimed in with an update.

Let this serve as a reminder to everyone to be safe (and patient) out there on the recruiting trail.
