UAB: Per source, Bill Clark intends to hire Les Koenning as his offensive coordinator at UAB. Koenning coached the receivers at Texas this past season and served as the offensive coordinator at Mississippi State and Texas A&M for approximately ten years prior to that.

South Alabama: As we reported a month ago, South Alabama has now formally announced Colin Hitschler as director of player operations. See details on The Ops Scoop.

Texas - Permian Basin (D-II): UTPB has openings for graduate assistants on both sides of the ball. The position pays $9,000 for a 9 month contract. Positions available on offense are RBs, TEs and WRs. Interested offensive applicants need to send resume and references to Coach Scott Preston at preston_s@utpb.edu. Mount St. Joseph (D-III - OH): Assistant coach Tyler Hopperton has been promoted to assistant head coach and director of recruiting, defensive coordinator Rick Thompson has been promoted to a full-time capacity, and former Covington Catholic HS (OH) head coach Dave Wirth has been hired as special teams coordinator.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Mike Tomlin's contract has been extended through the 2018 season.

ESPN: According to Sports Business Journal's John Ourand, here's how ESPN's college football studio coverage will shake out this fall - Adnan Virk will replace Rece Davis in the ESPN studio (who replaces Chris Fowler on GameDay), working alongside Joey Galloway and Danny Kanell. Mark May has been moved to ABC, where he'll sit with John Saunders and Mack Brown. Chris Cotter will host on ESPN2 with analysts Butch Davis and Robert Smith. ESPNU will have Matt Schick (host) with Charles Arbuckle and Kevin Carter (analysts). Joe Tessitore will be the studio host for ESPN's College Football Final studio show.

Coffeyville CC (KS): Coffeyville CC is looking to fill defensive interns position for the 2015 season. There is no package that comes with this position, its strictly voluntary (no meals, no housing, no pay). However, promotions to resident assistant positions are a possibility as positions become vacant. This is an opportunity for those who want to become college coaches to gain experience working with a good college program. Film duties, practice planning, game planning, equipment, and any other duties assigned by the head coach will be tied in with this position. New Mexico Military (JC): Per source, John Roy (offensive line), Brian Vaughn (secondary) and Erik White (wide receivers) have joined the staff.

Kansas State: Bill Snyder told ESPN last night that when he retires he would like to see his son Sean replace him. Sean Snyder has been with the Kansas State program for over two decades and currently serves as the assistant head coach / special teams coordinator.

St. Anselm (D-II - NH): Receivers coach Zack Dickson has been promoted to pass game coordinator / recruiting coordinator, per source. We understand that head coach Patrick Murphy will continue to call the play on game day.
